The purpose of the From the Heart Men’s Choir is to teach men how to express the purpose of music, which is to bless God’s Holy Name and to allow men the opportunity to lead and serve through example. Men are taught to use their talents, abilities, gifts, and skills to: lift up the name of Jesus, prepare the congregation to receive the Word of God and lead souls to Christ by singing songs of praise & worship, hymns, and spiritual songs while having the attitude of Christ and ministering with excellence.
Men are taught the technical aspects of music and singing, and the discipline required to continue a good vocal foundation. The essential skills men are trained to use include proper posture, breathing, tone, rhythm, dynamics, and proper choir decorum. Men are also trained to lead others through directing, psalmist ministry, praise and worship leading, and musical training for instrumentalists.
