Intercessory Prayer Ministry

The purpose of the Intercessory Prayer Ministry is based on the Word of God taken from the book of  Jeremiah 1:9-10. Intercessors are called as watchmen on the wall to pray for and on behalf of others. The Intercessory Prayer Ministry prays without ceasing for our pastor, Bishop John A. Cherry, II and Rev. LaWanda M. Cherry, FTHCM Worldwide®, the congregation, the Body of Christ, the lost, our nation and other requests.  Members of the Intercessory Prayer Ministry fervently pray according to the Word of God and in line with the doctrine and teachings of our local church.

What to expect

TRAINING PROVIDED BY MINISTRY:

  • New Members Training Workshop
  • Quarterly Prayer Workshops
  • School of Knowledge – Pray Without Ceasing Class

MEETING DAY(s) and TIME, SERVING TIME, TRAINING DAYS, etc.:

  • Meeting Dates: Quarterly, 5th Saturday, 10:00 a.m.
  • New Members Training Workshops are scheduled bi-monthly or (as needed)
  • Each member is assigned a minimum of one, one-hour prayer time per month
  • Quarterly Prayer Workshops from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  • All Night Prayer Vigil – during the fall

ESSENTIAL ITEMS NECESSARY TO SERVE IN THIS MINISTRY:

  • (Spiritually) Know that you are born again, filled with and lead by the Holy Spirit, equipped to be an Intercessor for the Lord!
  • Attended the New Members Orientation and completed the Perfecting Class
  • Bible – King James Version
  • Photo Ministry Badge

Additional Information

  • CSM Volunteer Teachers do not have to have prior teaching experience.
  • Youth Volunteer Assistants (Age 12 and above) are welcome to serve CSM.
